The day Three Pennies decided to be official is the day we booked our first couples session. Now, either I’m the master salesman (doubt that) or I was just at the right place at the right time. Kala works for the Forsyth County Business License Office and we started up a conversation. Didn’t take long before to find out that she was engaged and looking for a photographer and I was a photographer looking for some jobs. A few months later we took them to Marietta Square and spent an evening together.

Last week I had the amazing opportunity to photograph the Do Good *Experience.* A two day experience created  for students to come together and do something very simple, very practical, and very impactful… to “do good.” The ultimate goal of the Do Good organization is to combine 200,000 students into impacting their communities.

I think that the greatest part of this experience was meeting people who have dreams similar to that of  Three Pennies. People that want to serve their communities while doing what they love and were created to do. The Do Good lineup included Jamie Tworkowski (To Write Love on Her Arms), Jon Acuff ( Stuff Christians Like) Rob Crow (Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee) Rodney McClure (One Need), Carlos Whittaker (Ragamuffin Soul), Eddie Kirkland (Eddie Kirkland Music), D’Hati Lewis (Blueprint Church) and the guys from Live Love. Check out these links and see what these amazing organizations/people are doing.

Hello All,

I’m not really sure how this works or really why anybody would want to spend their time reading what we have going on in our lives. I mean, sure. I like my life, but I don’t know if I have a life so exciting everyone would want the inside scoop on it. Regardless, we are doing the dang thang and we pray you read it so we can feel good about ourselves.

Well after the worst intro ever, officially, this is our first post. This whole business thing is new to us and will probably will always feel so. Anna and I are doing so much to get Three Pennies going that I don’t even know what day it is. We are very excited/nervous/scared/balding over this addition to our journey.

This first post was written to simply say hello and please come back. We hope blog continuously and get a fully functioning website up within a couple months.

We love  you all… just look how excited we are in our picture!
